First Airplane Ride!

Elise, Matt, and I flew to Springfield last weekend to visit Matt's family. Elise did so well on her first plane ride, which included a layover at DFW. Everyone was so nice; flying with her couldn't have been easier! Elise either looked out the window or slept; she was a great traveler!!!  I was a little worried; traveling with an infant has never looked fun to me. I could tell as we boarded the plane that passengers were silently praying that we wouldn't be sitting anywhere near them. And I don't blame them!!!!! However, Elise was excellent. Not even a peep came out of this girl. We also started a log book for Elise. We figure since her daddy is a pilot and her mommy is obsessed with travel, this girl is going to log a lot of miles and it will be fun to keep track!

The log book is a great idea! I'm so glad she traveled well for ya. I'm going to be taking Macy Grace on a plane ride and I'm hoping she does good too!
btw, do you have any tips that made traveling easier? for example, what to bring, what to leave at home?

I am so happy that Elise traveled well for you. We had to take Garrett on the plane when he was 3 months old...I know "the look" that you are talking about!!! Sorry I couldn't make it to the shower...we already had plans for that day.

Glad Elise had a successful first plane ride! Sounds like a nice trip. :) Has Bunco been planned for April? ~Emily

Yay Elise! Obviously her ears didn't bother her. Did you just nurse during take off and landing? That's what I'm worried about!

You're right! Although I ohh and ahh over the babies that come aboard, once they start into a non-stop cry I think "why didn't those parents give that child baby benedryl " or some other sleepy/decongestant drug! :). Y'all look great and I'm so glad I get to watch Elise grow! Cute idea about the travel log!
